UIT-RGPV, Shahdol (MP) is an alone engineering College in the shahdol division [districts Shahdol, Umaria and Anuppur] Established in 2015, by the state technological University of MP. (Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya MP Bhopal). UIT-RGPV Shahdol is presently running UG level engineering Course B.Tech. in Mechanical Engg. & Mining Engineering institute striving hard for the education for all, specially for Scheduled Tribes, backward students of Shahdol division is situated in the north-eastern region of madhya pradesh.

The Shahdol division boasts a vibrant cultural heritage, home to indigenous tribal communities such as the Gonds and Baiga. The Division /District is rich in natural resources like coal, limestone and dolomite presenting vast opportunities for mining & industrial development. The sohagpur Coalfields, one of India's oldest and most productive coalfields, lies in Shahdol and contributes significantly to India's energy sector, managed by South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL)

The institution runs hostel, Library, workshop etc. with other amenities for the welfare and benefit of students. The involvement of this institute in the life of students does not end with completion of graduation the institute supports them for higher studies and employment.
